Assistant Borough Manager – Spring City Borough

Position Summary

Spring City Borough is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Borough Manager.  The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Borough as directed by the Borough Manager, and may be required to able to attend monthly council meetings and then transcribe minutes of the meeting.

In the event that the Manager is unable to perform his duties, the assistant manager will assume responsibility for the operations of the Borough and report directly to Council.

The Borough has a population of approximately 3300 residents and is expected to increase with a new proposed development. Borough departments include Administration, Police and Public Works.  Public Office Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am -12:00pm, 1:00pm – 4:30pm.


Knowledge of Quick Books, accounting practices, proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of computers and office equipment, ability to effectively deal with a wide variety of tasks and issues at the same time is essential.

Experience as a municipal manager and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or related field are preferred. The Borough offers paid vacation, holidays and an excellent benefit package.
