Assistant to the Township Manager – Springfield Township

Position Summary

Springfield Township, Montgomery County, a Township of the First Class with a population of 19,418 residents and an annual budget of $17.5 million, is accepting resumes for the position of Assistant to the Township Manager.

Salaried position reporting directly to the Township Manager. The person in this position will supervise and coordinate special projects and attend to other administrative matters as assigned. Assists with the preparation of the township budget, collective bargaining, human resources, business tax collections, and the preparation and administration of grant proposals.  Applicants shall possess excellent oral and written skills, and have demonstrated experience with electronic and social media communications.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Public Administration or other closely related field, and active enrollment or graduate degree in Public Administration, together with 1 – 2 years of progressive government experience required. Competitive salary and benefits package.
