Participants must attend the entire 3-hour session to earn a course certificate.

This course provides local government officials, municipal staff, and public sector professionals with a comprehensive understanding of capital budgeting principles and practices. Participants will explore the full lifecycle of capital budgeting—from identifying infrastructure needs and evaluating project proposals to securing funding and ensuring fiscal accountability.

Through real-world examples, interactive exercises, and Pennsylvania-specific case studies,

learners will gain the tools to make informed, strategic decisions about long-term investments in public assets. The course also covers essential financial techniques such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Payback Period, along with guidance on navigating state and federal funding programs.

If cancellation is received after the 72-hour window, a processing fee will be applied for a portion of the refund.

Those who do not cancel or attend forfeit the full registration fee.
