Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Encourages Municipalities to Participate in Pick Up Pennsylvania

Participate in Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful’s PICK UP PENNSYLVANIA program from March 1 through May 31 and make a difference in your municipalities and neighborhoods. You can help by picking up any litter that you encounter along roadways, neighborhood streets, parks and trials or by organizing a cleanup of larger items that have been dumped illegally in shared public spaces. Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful partners with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) and PennDOT to provide free trash bags, gloves and safety vests to registered participants, as supplies last. The PA DEP and Pennsylvania Waste Industries Association sponsors trash disposal, free or at a reduced cost, from April 1 through April 30. During this time, registered participants are eligible to take their trash to participating landfills with prior approval. Additional community improvement events can include community greening and beautification, special collections and anti-littering education events.
