Message from League Executive Director Rick Schuettler
In accordance with Governor Wolf’s guidelines for continued telework where feasible during the COVID-19 pandemic, The League’s physical office will be closed until further notice. League Staff is available by phone or email and is working remotely to provide services and assistance to continue our mission to strengthen, empower and advocate for effective local government.
All training events and meetings for the first quarter of 2021 will be virtual events. League leadership and staff are closely monitoring the situation to determine the format of future events.
Regular communication will be provided with any and all relevant information. Please continue to check our website for all the latest. Let us know the actions you are taking in your respective communities and we will share with your colleagues throughout the state. Please reach out to us with any questions regarding municipal responsibilities and we will work to get you answers. Best of luck and be safe.
Importantly, on behalf of the entire Board of Directors, please click here for an adopted resolution in Support of State Action to Support Local Government During and After the COVID-19 Crisis. The resolution was sent to the Governor and all members of the General Assembly. Please know your leadership recognizes the gravity of your circumstances. We need our Commonwealth leaders to recognize the same. If you have any questions or comments, as always, your League is here for you.
