Member Support & Research

As local government officials and employees, you are tasked with understanding a broad range of municipal operations and responsibilities. The League supports its members by offering non-legal research and assistance on key municipal topics.

Through its Research & Inquiry Service, The League helps member municipalities access information, model policies, sample ordinances, resolutions, and guidance documents relevant to daily operations and compliance. This service is complemented by The League’s various training programs, publications, and curated materials from trusted sources, including state agencies and peer communities. While The League does not offer legal advice, it serves as a critical resource to help municipalities identify issues, gather documentation, and stay informed—empowering local leaders to serve effectively.
