PML Municipal Leadership Summit – Wandering Pennsylvania’s Waterways Bus Tour The tour will be Wednesday, October 7 (9am-12pm), leading into the Municipal Leadership Summit in partnership with the Local Government Advisory Committee, through the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. We ask that if you register for the tour, you are also planning to attend the Summit. Hosted by Fred Faylona, Susquehanna Township Commissioner and Local Government Advisory Committee Member, this tour will showcase resources, projects, and funding opportunities available to local governments throughout the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Participants will gain practical ideas and actionable strategies to help address environmental challenges while advancing community goals.

The next installment of the 2026 Webinar Series with our Business Leaders Network is September 30 (11am-12pm) with Schneider Electric. Jim Hunt and Matt Wardecker will be presenting: From Planning to Progress: Implementing Capital Improvement and Sustainability Goals. This session will explore how municipalities can align Capital Improvement Plans (CIPs), sustainability initiatives, funding strategies, and project delivery methods to move projects from concept to completion and achieve their long-term goals.

Monthly Meeting with USDOT Intergovernmental Affairs Office – September 10. The USDOT Office of Governmental Affairs will be hosting a stakeholders call September 10 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm (EDT). Special Advisor for Intergovernmental Affairs Paten Kidd will provide the latest updates on USDOT activities, Notice of Funding Opportunities and grants status. PHFA issues RFP to Fund Mixed-Use Development Projects – The Community Revitalization Fund Program (CRFP) is now open and will accept applications through October 30. This program provides grant funding for the construction or rehabilitation of mixed-use developments that include affordable housing in commercial corridors across the Commonwealth. As in previous funding rounds, priority will be given to projects located in third-class cities and smaller communities; however, eligible projects from communities across the Commonwealth are encouraged to apply. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is available here. All applications must be submitted online. The link to the CRFP Proposal Submission is available here.
