Position Summary
FINANCE DIRECTOR ($80,000-$100,000, Full-Time, 36 hours/week, Monday-Thursday) – New Hanover Township, Montgomery County, PA, is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to serve as its Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for managing all financial operations and records for the Township and the New Hanover Township Authority, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, audits, financial reporting, sewer billing oversight, pension administration, and compliance with governmental accounting standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the Township Manager, Department Heads, auditors, engineers, solicitors, and government agencies.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of five years of professional accounting and budgetary experience, preferably in local government. CPA or CPFO certification is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and financial management skills are required. Candidates must also have the ability to be bonded. Salary range is commensurate with experience and qualifications and includes an excellent benefits package.
