Position Summary

TOWNSHIP MANAGER, MIDDLESEX TOWNSHIP, BUTLER COUNTY – Resumes will be accepted by the Board of Supervisors until the position is filled for the position of Township Manager. Middlesex Township is a township of the second-class governed by a three-member Board of Supervisors with a population of 7,375, 15 F/T and 3 P/T employees and an annual operating budget of $4 million. A dynamic and changing community located in growing southern Butler County.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented with a proven history of success in building positive working relationships, has broad and thorough knowledge of Pennsylvania municipal government structure and functions, and is an exceptional decision-maker with the ability to plan, set priorities and delegate tasks. Demonstrated experience in municipal accounting and finance, capital and operating budget development and management, grant administration, community and long-range planning, building and code enforcement, public works functions, public safety, parks and recreation, organizational development and personnel leadership.

Qualifications

Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, public management or closely related field and prefer at least 3 years of experience as a manager or assistant manager in a local government. Excellent verbal, written communication, and computer skills to perform the essential functions of the position. Salary range $90,000 – $120,000 DOQ with a competitive benefit package.
