About Advancing Recreation-Oriented Conservation in Pennsylvania

Parks, trails and lands contribute to healthy, flourishing communities – and they are powerful tools for helping to enact local visions as articulated by residents. As Pennsylvania’s leader and chief advocate for conservation and outdoor recreation, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and Trust for Public Land are partnering to host a series of virtual workshops that explore the value of state and local natural resources, engage practitioners in discussions of conservation best practices, and share tools to support increased access to the outdoors.

The Advancing Recreation-Oriented Conservation in Pennsylvania webinar series is an opportunity to bring together practitioners and advocates across Pennsylvania who are committed to advancing equity-driven parks, outdoor recreation, and conservation strategies. This series will offer:

  • Free virtual workshops to enhance local capacity for impactful practices;
  • Subject matter experts and case studies to strengthen your local strategies;
  • Peer support and networking to increase knowledge exchange and deepen collaboration.
