Instructor:  Abe Amoros

Abraham “Abe” Amorós is Director of Operations and Chief Diversity Officer for the Pennsylvania Municipal League, with more than 35 years of experience in government, communications, and public affairs. A former Managing Director for the City of Reading and Senior Deputy Press Secretary to Governor Ed Rendell, Abe is a recognized leader in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. He holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Penn State University, serves on the Penn State Board of Trustees, and has taught graduate-level courses in public relations, political advocacy, and media relations.

Course Description

Kick off the League Learning Academy’s Fall 2026 semester with Leadership with a Purpose, an engaging webinar that explores the many forms of leadership that public servants can aspire to embody.

Participants will learn how different leadership approaches shape team building and individual achievement, and gain clarity on which styles are most effective in a municipal government setting. This session sets the tone for purposeful, people-centered leadership in public service.
