Business Leaders Network Spotlight

HRG plans and designs community infrastructure with a focus on quality and value. Typical projects include roads, bridges, water and wastewater systems, recreational spaces, and schools. They also have an in-house team of certified community planners assisting with parks, recreation, and open space planning, comprehensive planning, active transportation planning, community revitalization, economic development, zoning, and land development ordinances. Through creative and inclusive public engagement strategies, they are able to discern a vision that’s reflective of your community character and desires, but their plans go beyond vision to practical, actionable solutions. HRG’s multi-disciplinary team of planners, engineers, landscape architects, and funding specialists fully considers infrastructure and funding constraints to propose ideas that can be cost-effectively designed, permitted, constructed, and maintained for years to come. Municipalities receive more than a list of goals and objectives; they receive a blueprint for implementation success. You can see that in HRG’s work updating Upper Dublin Township’s parks, recreation, and open space plan. Knowing the community cared about increasing residents’ walkable access to parks and recreational spaces, the firm’s planners worked closely with the township to develop a pedestrian connectivity plan that looked beyond mere distance and travel time, carefully considering barriers that make pedestrians feel unsafe like missing sidewalks, dangerous crossings, narrow shoulders, and high-speed roadways. See how HRG’s plan helped Upper Dublin Township secure $35,000 in grant funding and add 4 miles of pedestrian connections in under three years.
