2026 Capitol Conference Webinar Series: Legislative Update – Closing Out the 2025/2026 Session

Join League legislative staff for an update on Wednesday, September 2 at 11:30 a.m. The 2025/2026 legislative session will be ending November 30. With limited session days scheduled, the update will include an overview of current legislation concerning affordable housing, data centers, and skill games, among other topics of interest to local governments.

Leading into the Municipal Leadership Summit on October 7 from 9 a.m – noon, the Wandering Pennsylvania’s Waterways Bus Tour will be taking place! In partnership with the Local Government Advisory Committee (LGAC), through the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. We ask that if you register for the tour, you are also planning to attend the 2026 Municipal Leadership Summit. Hosted by Fred Faylona, Susquehanna Township Commissioner and LGAC Member, this tour will showcase resources, projects, and funding opportunities available to local governments throughout the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Participants will gain practical ideas and actionable strategies to help address environmental challenges while advancing community goals.

League Learning Academy – New for Managers! Municipal Management CertificateThe Program equips participants with practical knowledge, innovative approaches, and immediately applicable skills to address real-world challenges. Participants leave with tools they can use right away to better serve their communities. To earn the Municipal Management Certificate, participants must: 1) Complete a minimum of 24 hours of training from League Learning Academy courses within the Management Track. 2) Complete a Practicum Project that demonstrates application of the competencies and concepts learned throughout the program. Business Leaders Network Spotlight

Earlier this summer, Acrisure hosted a webinar entitled Cyber Risk Quantification in the Age of AI. Head of Cyber Security Max Bobys and Cyber Risk Advisor Dan Backo led the discussion, focused on quantifying the business and financial impact of cyberattacks.
