Position Summary
The City of Harrisburg is accepting applications for the position of Director of Budget and Finance within the Department of Administration. The Director of Budget and Finance is a highly responsible managerial and technical position, directing the financial functions of the City. The Director reports to and consults with the City’s Business Administrator. The Finance Director shall attend legislative sessions, committee meetings and public hearings at the direction of the Mayor. The position requires a high level of administrative and supervisory responsibilities including planning, directing, and controlling activities, programs and projects of the Department of Fiancé and Budget. Additionally, this position has the responsibility for the operating budget, planning, supervision, over all accounting functions, accounting systems, procurement process, and grant administration.
Compensation & Benefits
The City of Harrisburg offers an annual salary range of $85,000 to $95.000. This full-time FSLA-exempt position also includes an excellent benefits package: defined pension plan, paid holidays, paid time off (vacation, sick and personal time) and health care benefits (medical, dental, prescription and vision).
