21st Century Road to Housing Act
The 21st Century Road to Housing Act was recently passed by Congress. The bipartisan law combines nearly 50 housing provisions to help tackle housing affordability by boosting housing supply, easing federal regulations, and empowering local government to build housing. The full text of the law can be viewed here and a section-by-section summary can be viewed here.
Earlier this week, President Trump said he would not sign the bill unless another priority of his, the SAVE America Act, is moved forward. So as of right now, the legislation awaits further official action on the President’s desk.
Local Government Symposium Call for Speakers
The Pennsylvania Local Government Commission will be holding its 6th annual Local Government Symposium on September 24, 2026, to be held online only. The Local Government Commission is actively seeking speakers to share their knowledge and experience with PA local government. Please review this request for speakers if you are interested.
