Zoning Officer/Code Enforcement Officer – Harrison Township Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, environmental science, or a related field preferred, with three to five years of municipal experience, preferably in planning, zoning, or code enforcement. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of community development principles, municipal government operations, and applicable laws and regulations, along with knowledge of development, engineering, and transportation issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills; proficiency with computer applications and GIS technology; and the ability to prepare reports, maintain records, and work effectively with residents, elected officials, staff, and outside agencies. Supervisory experience and a commitment to professional customer service are highly desirable.
