EPA Proposes Rules to Revise 2024 National Primary Drinking Water Regulations for PFAS
On May 18, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency proposed two rules regarding the Agency’s 2024 drinking water requirements. The first would give communities the option to request a two-year compliance extension, and the second would repeal the so-called Hazard Index. EPA is accepting comments on the proposed rules through July 20.
