Borough Manager – Mount Union Borough

Position Summary

Mount Union Borough, Huntingdon County, PA, seeks a qualified Borough Manager. We are a diverse community with an approx. population of 2,300, general fund budget of $1.2M, 17 FT/PT employees, and a council/mayor/manager form of government. We also have a municipal authority for water/sewer services with a separate budget. Other departments include administration, police, public works, code enforcement and parks.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four-year college/university with a (1) degree in public administration, political science, business management or a closely related field, and experience as a municipal administrator or assistant; or, (2) a degree in a related job field with at least five years job experience as a full-time municipal manager with proven success are strongly preferred. Equivalent combination acceptable. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in municipal financial/personnel administration/management, and hands-on experience in collective bargaining, municipal service delivery, planning/land use, and community/economic development. The position requires strong analytical, computer, verbal, written and interpersonal skills, along with ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Successful grant writing experience desired.
