Oppose Local Zoning Preemption Bills
House Bill 2109 and House Bill 2186, recently passed out of the House Housing and Community Development Committee, would preempt local zoning authority. The bills are a product of the administration’s Housing Action Plan and are scheduled for consideration on the House floor next week. Please reach out to your Representative to ask them to oppose these bills by clicking on the Take Action button below!
Five-Year Surface Transportation Reauthorization – the BUILD America 250 Act
Last Friday, the House Transportation Committee passed their surface transportation reauthorization – BUILD America 250 Act. Hundreds of amendments were offered and debated to the draft base bill. Portions of the BASICS Act are in the bill, along with the Railway Safety Act. You can view all the amendments offered here.
