The City of York is launching “6 in 26: Mayor Walker’s Pothole Patrol,” a targeted pothole response initiative designed to improve street conditions and strengthen responsiveness to resident concerns. The first phase of the initiative will take place on Monday, May 18, 2026, and will focus on the West End of the City, specifically all streets south of West Market Street and west of South George Street in York City. Residents are encouraged to take just 60 seconds to report potholes by contacting the City’s Highway Bureau. Public Works crews will then spend the week responding to and repairing reported street issues within the designated quadrant.
“This initiative is about action, responsiveness, and results,” said Mayor Sandie Walker. “We are asking residents to partner with us by reporting potholes, and our crews will be out throughout the week making repairs. Together, we can create a smoother York.”
