Position Summary
Patton Township, a growing community of 16,000 residents in Centre County, is accepting applicants for the position of Assistant Township Manager for Public Works. This position serves as the head of the Public Works Department and is responsible for overseeing all activities within that department including planning and zoning activities, assisting the Consulting Engineer, and managing the short and long-term maintenance of Township infrastructure and assets to include parks, open space, streets, roads, sidewalks, signage, lighting, traffic signals, drainageways, equipment and facilities.
The successful candidate for this job should have the ability to read and understand land development and subdivision plans, have knowledge of the planning and land development process and enjoy working collaboratively with staff, residents and elected officials. Qualifications
Candidates should possess at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree with at least three years of experience in local government, planning, code enforcement or a related area. A Master’s Degree in Public Administration may be substituted for experience or any combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required of this position.
The salary range for the position is $105,465 to $117,942. The Township offers a full benefits package, including health insurance, a 401A plan and paid time off.
