The League Recognizes Brown Plus with Community Partnership Award

Scranton, PA (October 11, 2024) – Brown Plus was recognized with the Pennsylvania Municipal League’s annual Community Partnership Award today during an Awards Breakfast held in conjunction with the association’s Municipal Leadership Summit in Scranton.

“Congratulations to Brown Plus for receiving the 2024 Community Partnership Award,” said League Executive Director John Brenner. “They have been an active member of the League’s Business Leaders Network and are always working to help local communities make wise financial decisions.”

Brian Marchuck, who accepted the award on behalf of Brown Plus, has been a member of the League’s Business Leaders Network since 2023.

“We are so thankful to receive this year’s Community Partnership Award from the Pennsylvania Municipal League,” said Marchuck. “For more than 12 years, Brown Plus has been a proud supporter of The League, and recently, we have been honored to join The League’s Business Leaders Network. Similarly to The League, our mission is to help people achieve extraordinary outcomes, through the services we provide and the support we give to our local communities. Having served the government industry for more than 30 years, we understand the opportunities and obstacles that local governments are facing today. We truly enjoy helping governmental entities see what’s possible to achieve their goals with a wide array of outsourced accounting, attest and advisory services.”

The League’s Business Leaders Network was established to promote the exchange of ideas between corporate leaders and the leaders of the Commonwealth’s communities, in order to strengthen local government, encourage economic competitiveness and promote corporate/civic engagement. Currently 27 members strong, membership is open to any business entity which is involved with and interested in preserving and reinvesting in the Commonwealth’s communities.
