Everyone knows the temperature in our state is high; what we can we do about it, today? Is there hope for a different future? The session “Transforming Conflict into Collaboration – Why Local Officials Just Might Save the World” by Will Fuller, Search for Common Ground, focused first on the landscape of polarization and threat in Pennsylvania, before moving to how local officials are the perfect people to turn the tide toward healthy pluralism and institutional trust for Pennsylvanians. The discussion focused on the Peace Impact Framework to assess the climate of threat, political violence, etc. in our state, before moving into simple and powerful steps local officials can take to build peace and resilience in their communities.
