Lancaster City to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Festivities at Binns Park and Ewell Plaza 

LANCASTER, Pa., Oct. 2, 2024 – The City of Lancaster will host its annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration this Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m. at Binns Park and Ewell Plaza on the 100 block of N. Queen St. The celebration will honor and celebrate the vibrant Hispanic culture and the significant contributions of the Hispanic community to the city with a diverse lineup of entertainment, food vendors, and community resources. 

“As an integral part of the Lancaster community, we are proud to honor the history, achievements, and vibrant traditions of Hispanic and Latino people in Lancaster City,” said Mayor Danene Sorace. 

Attendees can enjoy dance lessons, cultural performances, and a headlining performance by singer and composer Nino Segarra. Other entertainment includes DJ Flaco, Bachata dance lessons with Cristina Osorio, and performances of Dominican and Puerto Rican dance styles. The Lifetime Achievement Awards will also be presented to honor several individuals who have made a significant impact on the Hispanic community. 

Chellas Arepa Kitchen, Flavor Latino, Kelly’s Latin Fusion, Las Delicias Del Calvo, Mr. Frosty, and Tacos El Gordo will be on site with food and beverages for purchase. The event will also feature vendors and community organizations.
