EPA’s Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR) is soliciting applications from eligible entities for Brownfields Multipurpose, Assessment, and Cleanup Grant funding. These Brownfields Grants allow more vacant and abandoned properties to be turned into community assets that will attract jobs and promote economic revitalization in communities.
EPA is committed to meeting the Biden-Harris Administration’s Justice40 goal that at least 40 percent of the benefits of certain government programs flow to disadvantaged communities. The Brownfields Program will strive to meet this commitment and advance environmental justice and equity considerations into all aspects of our work.

Funding Availability for FY 2024 Technical Assistance to Tribal Nations and Entities Addressing Brownfields Grant
A critical part of EPA’s Brownfields and Land Revitalization Program is to ensure that residents living in communities historically affected by economic disinvestment, health disparities, and environmental contamination have an opportunity to benefit from technical assistance for brownfields redevelopment. EPA’s Office of Brownfields and Land Revitalization (OBLR) is soliciting applications from eligible entities to provide specialized technical assistance to increase the capacity of Tribal Nations and entities to build sustainable brownfield programs and strengthen capacity to manage successful brownfields reuse. The recipient of this award must be able to provide technical assistance nationwide to Federally recognized Indian Tribes, Alaska Native Villages, Alaska Native Regional Corporations, Alaska Native Village Corporations, the Metlakatla Indian community, and Intertribal Consortia. OBLR anticipates awarding one grant at up to $4 million over a 5-year period of performance.
