The U.S. Department of Transportation recently released new funding opportunities totaling more than $8 billion for communities interested in developing transportation projects of all sizes.
More than $3 billion of those funds are specifically dedicated for Neighborhood Access and Equity projects, which can help communities with physical barriers dividing their neighborhoods bridge those gaps. The other $5.575 billion is designated for multimodal projects of regional and national significance. This summer is a BIG moment for communities with transportation projects in mind – your chances of winning a Department of Transportation grant this funding cycle are higher than ever.
