Join the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society (PRPS) for this interactive and informative workshop for municipal managers, boards, local officials, and volunteers who are seeking help, information, and assistance with park and recreation planning, programming, and maintenance.
The workshop will feature an informative facility and trail tour with local experts as well as specific discussions geared towards enhancing the park and recreation resources for your community. Along with opportunities to learn about resources that may be available to assist them, attendees will have the opportunity to speak, share, and learn from professionals in parks and recreation on best practices for programming, budgeting, administration, and operations.
This event is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26, from 4:00 to 7:30 pm at the Chestnuthill Township Park in Brodheadsville and features a local facility tour and informative sessions for all those who manage and program community parks and open spaces. The cost is $10 .00 per person and registration is on a first-come basis. Continuing Education Units (.2 CEUs) are available for workshop participants.
