Chester County features a wide variety of parks, historic sites, and trails for outdoors lovers to enjoy. Hikers and bikers are sure to find great places to exercise on the county’s many trails. Wildlife lovers can visit the 119-acre Black Rock Sanctuary, which is home to many species of wildlife and plants. If you’re interested in PA history, you can also take a guided tour of Hibernia Mansion, which was home to ironmasters and their families through the 1700s and 1800s. In addition to its many parks and facilities, Chester County also offers a range of park programs, with activities from archery to disc golf. For anyone interested in helping out their local parks, there are great volunteering opportunities at many of Chester County’s parks that give residents an opportunity to get involved with activities like planting and clean ups. No matter what your interests are, there’s something for everyone in Chester County parks!
