Local Use of Radar Rally

Stopping Unnecessary Fatalities on Pennsylvania’s Roadways Begins with Authorizing the Use of Modern Technology

HARRISBURG With just weeks left in the legislative session, now is the time to bring House Bill 606 to the Floor for final passage. Current speed timing technology is becoming obsolete, with Pennsylvania local law enforcement as the only police officers in the nation still using non-radar technology. At the same time, speed-related fatalities are on the rise. Lack of modern technology and increased speeding are creating the perfect storm. Don’t leave local law enforcement with only a stopwatch to monitor speed through our neighborhoods. In 2022, its time we trust our municipal police with radar. Bring House Bill 606 to a vote!
