Treasury Webinar for NEUs on 3/21

The U.S. Department of Treasury is committed to working with NEU recipients to help them  understand the final rule, effectively maximize their use of funds, and meet their reporting obligations, as further delineated in the Compliance and Reporting Guidance.  

To share more information about NEU reporting requirements, Treasury will host a webinar for NEUs. The webinar will occur on Monday March 21, 2022 at 3:00pm ET. Please register for the webinar: here.

 If Treasury reaches RSVP capacity and you cannot attend the webinar,  Treasury will post a recording of the webinar on Treasury’s website following the live presentation.

Available Now: Online System Access and Submission of NEU Agreements/Documentation
As an NEU, you are currently required to submit the following:

  • NEU Agreements and Supporting Documents – signed awards terms, signed civil rights compliance form, and budget documents.

Treasury encourages all NEU recipients to access the Treasury Portal as soon as possible in order to confirm their accounts, designate SLFRF reporting roles, and submit the required agreements and supporting documentation to Treasury prior to the submission of the first Project and Expenditure Report.

To assist recipients with logging into Treasury’s Portal, an NEU User Guide is posted to assist NEUs to confirm their reporting roles, and provide the required documentation to Treasury. 

In addition, Treasury posted a recording assist NEUs to log-in to Treasury’s Portal, confirm their accounts and submit the required agreements/supporting documentation: NEU Intro to Reporting- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qd8tYYl0pg

Coming Soon: April Project and Expenditure Report
Please note that NEUs will be required to submit a Project and Expenditure Report in April. Project and Expenditure reports include obligations, expenditures, and other project data. The first reporting deadline for NEUs to submit the Project and Expenditure Report is April 30, 2022, and will cover the period between March 3, 2021 and March 31, 2022. The Project and Expenditure Report will become available to complete approximately 30 days before the deadline. 

Before the Project and Expenditure Report is due, Treasury will also provide a detailed User Guide to help recipients enter their information into Treasury’s Portal.  In addition, Treasury plans to post a recorded webinar to help recipients comply with relevant reporting requirements associated with the Project and Expenditure Report.
