NLC Partnership with YMCA on Vaccine Confidence and Access – Connecting Cities with Y’s

On behalf of the National League of Cities, we are sharing news about a new partnership to address COVID-19 vaccine confidence and access, as our country continues to grapple with COVID-19 spread.  NLC has recently launched a new partnership with the YMCA of the USA (see partnership letter here) and is looking to help pair city leaders and local Ys for greater alignment of efforts. NOTE: The participating Ys are listed on the partnership letter.  You can reach out and the NLC National Office can also help to coordinate calls amongst interested municipalities and local YMCAs (see contact information below).

This partnership includes several resources, including:

  • Technical Assistance (TA) support through a variety of partners including NLC, YMCA of the USA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Foundation.  TA includes monthly Community of Practice calls with community leaders from around the country to share best practices and lessons learned.
  • As soon-to-be-released communications toolkit with tailored materials for outreach to specific target populations.
  • News related to upcoming workshops and events to overcome vaccine hesitancy and improve vaccine access.
