On August 11 at 3:30PM ET, the Treasury Department will host a technical assistance webinar on evidence and evaluation for State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds recipients. The webinar will cover evaluation basics including how to define evidence, how to identify evidence-based interventions, how to effectively implement such interventions, how to use evaluations to generate new evidence, resources that are available to assist jurisdictions in performing evaluations, and related topics. The session is designed to assist all recipients of State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds to make the most effective use of their funds and to help states, territories, and localities with more than 250,000 residents comply with the reporting requirements of the Recovery Plan Performance Report (page 26 of the Compliance and Reporting Guidance), which is due for the first time on August 31.
The webinar will feature officials from the Treasury Department and the White House Office of Management and Budget as well as experts from JPAL North America, the Pew Results First Initiative, the State of Minnesota, and the Louisville Metro Government. There will also be time for Q&A about evidence and evaluation related topics.
