July is National Park and Recreation Month. Here in Pennsylvania, the third Friday in July is Park and Recreation Professionals Day. It honors the men and women who work tirelessly behind the scenes to provide the high quality programs and facilities we desire and expect in our parks and public spaces.

On July 17, we invite all Pennsylvanians to visit a park and enjoy its facilities and services.
Many park and recreation agencies are observing the Day with a special event at one of their parks. This toolkit can help you promote the celebration, and create a tribute to those who deliver quality recreational and educational programming and keep our parks clean, safe and ready to use.
