Comast Extends Comprehensive COVID-19 Response Policies to June 30

As shelter in place continues to be the norm and schools remain closed across the country, Comcast announced it will extend its commitments for Xfinity customers through June 30 to help ensure students can finish out the school year from home and remain connected to the internet during the COVID-19 crisis. “Our services have never been more important, and we’re doing everything we can to keep people connected to the internet.” Dave Watson, Comcast Cable Chief Executive Officer Originally announced on March 13, Comcast made the following commitments that will now be extended into the summer: No disconnects and waiving late fees, Xfinity WiFi free for everyone, pausing our data plan, and Internet Essentials free to new customers now through June 30. To learn what that all means, visit us here.

Comcast Keystone Employee Resource Groups Support Community While Working Apart

During this unprecedented time, Comcast employees are still finding ways to stay connected with each other and their communities throughout Comcast’s Keystone region. One of the ways they are keeping in touch from a distance is through Comcast’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which are voluntary, employee-led organizations within the company, dedicated to developing the careers of our employees, contributing to community service and building an inclusive and collaborative workplace. The Keystone Region has seven ERGs, which include Unidos, Black Employee Network, MyAbilities, Women’s Network, VetNet, Young Professionals Network, and Out. Read More

Big Brothers Big Sisters and Comcast’s Beyond School Walls Program Goes Virtual

Big Brothers Big Sisters developed the Beyond School Walls program in 2008 as a way to partner at-risk students with corporate leaders in the workplace. In non-pandemic operations, students from Sto-Rox Junior-Senior High School visit employee volunteers at our Comcast offices in Pittsburgh every other week throughout the school year, developing mentoring relationships through lunchtime conversations and group activities.
