Position Summary
The City of Harrisburg is accepting applications for the position of Asset Manager in the Department of Building and Housing Development. The Asset manager will be in involved in, but not limited to being responsible for collection of community development loan payments from homeowners and receipting in computer system. Prepares reports as required. Enters payment invoices, verifying accounts to assure proper funding line is being used. Reviews for accuracy, and prepares draw requests for same for City reimbursement. Provides staff services to teammates and other offices as needed. Performs other duties as required. Maintains regular, punctual and predictable attendance. Reports to work and remains at work in a safe and productive condition. Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with supervisors, co-workers and the general public. Completes all assignments in an efficient, consistent and timely manner. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The salary range is between $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 (commensurate with experience and qualifications).

DEFINITION
The Asset Manager works under the general direction of the Project Director for Asset Management working directly with program participants/homeowners through the intake and contract process, including preparing mortgages and notes and overseeing the recording, lien, and satisfaction process. This is a management, FLSA-exempt position.
JOB LOCATION/EQUIPMENT
Work is performed at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. City Government Center. Work involves the use of a personal computer with Microsoft Office 365 and assorted other software; in addition to a copier/scanner, telephone and other technological devices as necessary and/or required on a daily basis. Duties are typically performed weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour lunch or 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a half-hour lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or related field; three (3) or more years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Experience in computerized data base management required. Valid PA driver’s license Class C.
