Planning & Codes Director – East Cocalico Township

Position Summary

East Cocalico Township is hiring a full-time Planning & Codes Director to join our administration team.  This position directs the community’s planning, permitting, and code enforcement efforts, works with the Township Engineer to coordinate MS4 activities, and manages the Township’s contracted building inspectors. The position also serves as Assistant Zoning Officer, liaison to the Zoning Hearing Board, Planning Commission and the UCC Board of Appeals, coordinates Land Development and Subdivision applications, functions as the GIS system manager/liaison and functions as the floodplain administrator. Lastly, the position will assist with grant initiatives and special projects as needed.

Candidates must possess a minimum of two years of municipal zoning, planning, permitting, or equivalent experience private sector experience.  A degree in planning or public administration, or a related field, is preferred.

Starting salary is dependent on qualifications. East Cocalico Township offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
