Position Summary

Township Manager Position Available

Penn Township is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Township Manager. This position is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the Township, carrying out policies set by the Board of Commissioners, and managing financial records and obligations. The Township Manager will also handle legal, disciplinary, hiring, and workforce changes, as well as contract and vendor management. The role involves significant interaction with citizens and oversight of Township employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise Township services and employees.
  • Implement administrative and operational procedures.
  • Assist and inform citizens about Township rules and address their concerns.
  • Prepare financial reports and manage the Township’s budget.
  • Ensure proper recording and management of funds.
  • Handle insurance, grants, and project management.
  • Maintain payroll, benefits, and other records.


  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or related field.
  • Three years of experience in business or public agency administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of public administration principles, municipal finance policies, and office procedures.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
