Assistant Township Manager – Hampden Township

Position Summary

Hampden Township is seeking an individual to assist the Township Manager in the accomplishment of administrative and personnel management, long-range planning and training, day-to-day and emergency operations, as needed, and other management functions. 


The successful applicant must meet all the requirements of the job description including, but not limited to, a minimum of a BA/BS degree, preferably in Human Resource Management or Public Administration, with five years managerial experience.  Applicant must have an understanding of employee management, business matters and the role of local government; an understanding of organizational dynamics and managerial theory and a proven ability to design, implement, and monitor management programs in a detailed fashion.  Detailed knowledge of financial management and Human Resources Management; ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form, including the art of public speaking.  Salary range is commensurate with experience and dependent upon qualifications, with a full benefits package included.
