Harris Township, PA (6,500)
Salary $95,000 to $120,000 DOE. Good benefits. 5 member Board elected at-large. Budget 4.2 million all funds. Previous Manager served 17 years before moving to a larger municipality.
Harris is a beautiful suburban/rural community of 31 square miles. Harris is part of the progressive Centre Region, home of The Pennsylvania State University (Penn State). Attractions include, Penn State Sports and cultural activities, the Pennsylvania Military Museum, Tussey Mountain Ski Center, Columbus Chapel & Boal Museum, Rothrock State Forest. Memorial Day first began in Harris Township.
Harris participates with the surrounding municipalities in providing Police, Fire, Library, Code Enforcement, and Parks & Recreation Services.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree desired. 3 years of successful municipal management experience required. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Good interpersonal skills required. Working knowledge of Word and Excel required. Experience with municipal budgets/finance desired.
