Event Operations Assistant – Part-Time

Position Summary

Cranberry Township, Butler County, is seeking applicants for a part-time Event Operations Assistant at the Cranberry Highlands Golf Course. Cranberry Highlands Golf Course rated as one of Pennsylvania’s best municipal golf courses and provides a premiere location for events ranging from golf outings, showers, corporate events, and weddings. This position will assist the Event Operations Supervisor in all phases of the event operations, from venue promotion to event execution, with a focus in overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of events and providing efficient room presentation and change-over to maximize use of event facilities.

This is a part-time position with varying work hours based on event programing, with an expected annual average between 20-30 hours per week.


Required Qualifications:

This position requires a High School Diploma or GED and some experience in the service industry. The successful applicant must be able to work varying hours, including evening and weekend hours. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and must possess or have ability to obtain, within three (3) months of employment RAMP Certification.

This position also requires an ability to work with materials with weight up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and materials greater than 50 pounds on an occasional basis. The successful applicant must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry related materials.

Preferred Qualifications:

Applicants with existing RAMP and Safe Serve Certifications preferred. An associate degree, certification or educational classes in hospitality management, event planning or related field is preferred.

Approximate Hourly Wage: $15.75-$17.75 based on experience
