Position Summary
The Town of University Park (located adjacent to College Park in Prince George’s County) seeks an experienced municipal manager for the position of Interim Town Administrator. The 2,650 population Town is fully residential, yet the effects of nearby development create issues for the community. The Town is focused on several infrastructure projects, including stormwater management and sustainability projects.
The position, which is currently funded at .75 FTE, involves support of the Mayor and Town Council including budget development and administration, grant management, and effective communications with the community and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, as well as thorough knowledge and experience in town/city operations.
The Town has 26 employees and a FY23 Budget of $6 million. The salary range is $55-$65 per hour. The position may last up to six months.
