Position Summary

The City of Latrobe is now accepting applications for the position of Police Chief in the Latrobe Police Department. The City of Latrobe Police Department covers 2.31 miles and oversees the safety of approximately 8000 residents. Latrobe is in Westmoreland County, 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. The Chief of Police is responsible for directing and supervising 13 Sworn Officers, A K-9 and 1 Civilian, which includes 3 Sergeants, 2 School Resource Officer, 2 Detectives, 1 Community Service Officer and 5 Patrol Officers. Candidates are expected to be fiscally responsible with the department’s budget and accountable for the effective delivery of police services in the City of Latrobe.
