Facilities Manager – Cranberry Township

Position Summary

Cranberry Township, Butler County, is seeking applicants for a full-time Facilities Manager position in the Public Works Department. Cranberry Township is a growing residential and business community and as the Facilities Manager within Public Works Department, the incumbent for this position will play an integral role in the management and maintenance of the seven Township-owned facilities.

This position provides complex professional activities executing/administrating all aspects of facility maintenance associated with Cranberry Township’s buildings, grounds, and facilities. Work involves efficiently managing overall facility maintenance, as well as defining, developing, and controlling facility project timelines, budget, and quality assurance. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with consultants, contractors, and service providers to ensure effective facilities and equipment operations. Work also involves providing technical expertise, personnel management, including management of bargaining unit personnel and assisting with the establishment and implementation of short and long-term objectives and capital improvement plans Along with facility maintenance, this position serves as an On-Call Manager for the Public Works Department for winter maintenance approximately one (1) week of every month during Township winter operations.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

An Associate’s Degree in business management or related field; supplemented by at least five (5) years of facilities management experience, including two (2) years of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, or other directly related building systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business administration, engineering, or related field; At least two (2) years of project or property management experience, including managing contracted services; at least one (1) year of experience with building automation systems; and at least two (2) years’ experience supervising staff.

Applicants must have a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.

Approximate Wage:
