Position Summary

Cranberry Township, Butler County, is seeking applicants for an entry level full-time planning and development specialist position (Planning and Development Specialist I) with the Planning & Development Services Department.

Responsibilities for this position include: assisting with, coordinating and conducting reviews of land development, subdivision and other related applications; assisting with preparing subdivision, zoning, land development amendments; assisting with and collaboratively working with internal and external stakeholders in the development of short-term and long-term planning, design, and implementation efforts. This position will also represent the Township at community meetings and commission meetings as assigned.

Position Information

Required Qualifications:

The Planning and Development Specialist I position requires bachelor’s degree in planning, urban design, environmental science/design, engineering, project management or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience

Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

One (1) year of experience related to municipal planning, including land use considerations or a Master’s degree in planning or urban design.

Approximate Hourly Wage:

$24.00-$25.00, plus our fringe benefits program.
