Denise Gembusia named The League’s New Director of Marketing and Member Services

Harrisburg, PA (April 13, 2022) – The League is pleased to announce Denise Gembusia as our new Director of Marketing and Member Services. Ms. Gembusia assumed this essential position at The League last week.

In addition to marketing League programs and promoting membership and services, Denise is charged with being the point person for the Business Leaders Network and sponsorship programs.

Denise joins The League after serving as Manager of Halfmoon Township in Centre County. She previously served in local government roles at Dickinson Township, Upper Allen Township and Mt. Holly Springs Borough. “I look forward to furthering the mission of The League and supporting local governance on all levels,” said Gembusia.

“The League is pleased that Denise Gembusia has joined our team as Director of Marketing and Member Services,” said League Executive Director John Brenner. “Her extensive experience in municipal government, including roles as both an appointed and elected official, will help strengthen and serve The League members and programs.”

A Kutztown University graduate, Denise started her 17-year career in Pennsylvania municipal government while in college. During an internship at a second class township, she discovered her passion for serving the public. “I realized how much local government impacted my daily life and how participating in the process could build and inspire the community,” said Gembusia.

Denise’s varied municipal government experience includes serving as a sewer collection clerk, receptionist, treasurer, secretary, police department secretary, zoning officer, and codes enforcement officer. She was also elected to the North Middleton Township Board of Supervisors, has volunteered as a Girl Scout leader in Camp Hill, is a Lion’s Club International Member, an amateur HAM Radio operator (KC3MDU) and graduated Leadership Centre County in 2021.
