The Borough of Oakmont has a job opening for an Accounting Analyst. This Full-Time, salaried position is responsible for all financial activities for the Borough including financial analysis and reporting, internal controls, general accounting, cash management and financial procedure development.
Minimum requirements include, but are not limited to, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent), 5-7 years of work experience in finance or accounting, and municipal experience with fund accounting preferred.
The successful candidate should be able to work independently with limited supervision, be organized and successfully manage multiple priorities, be able to clearly communicate with both financial and non-financial personnel and be able to work as a member of a team. This position reports directly to the Borough Manager and maintains regular contact with the Borough’s appointed Treasurer.
