Borough Manager – Charleroi Borough

Position Summary

Charleroi Borough, Washington County, PA, population 3,940, 17 FT/PT/Seasonal employees, have a council/manager form of government with a seven (7) member Borough Council and Mayor.  Major services include administration, public works, code enforcement/building inspection and recreation.

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a (1) degree in public administration, political science, business management or a closely related field, and five (5) years of experience as a municipal administrator or assistant; or, (2) degree in a related job field with at least five (5) years job experience as a full-time municipal manager.  Master’s degree in applicable field highly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated skills in municipal financial/personnel administration/management; hands-on experience in municipal service delivery, planning/land use, community/economic development and collective bargaining.  The position requires strong analytical and computer skills and successful grant writing experience.
