COVID-19 Impact on Right to Know Law and the Sunshine Act

March 27 Update: The Senate has declined to pursue legislation regarding public meeting requirements.  In its stead, the guidance below from the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association is offered.  The League intends to continue pursuit of a legislative remedy.

May 20 Update: The OOR has updated its Right-to-Know Law Advisory. The most significant update is that agencies in yellow status counties should now process RTKL requests and participate in RTKL appeals as they would normally. We recognize some exceptions may be necessary, and we will continue to address those on a case-by-case basis. The updated Advisory is available here.
