Director of Finance – Moon Township

Position Summary

The Township of Moon is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Finance. This position reports directly to the Township Manager. The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a mid-sized municipality with a $17million budget. Typical duties include various accounting activities, payroll, collections, all aspects of fiscal compliance, and other assignments as directed.


The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in accounting/finance required with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial management in a supervisory capacity, preferably in a municipal or public sector organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel and Outlook and experience using financial software systems are also required. The individual selected will have strong management and people skills, as well as strong written and communication abilities.
